From October 1 2008, the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive became effective across the private Sales sector. This legislation states that all residential properties must have a valid Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) before being brought to the market.
Your property may already have an EPC if you purchased it within the last 10 years.
An EPC tells you and the prospective buyer how energy efficient your property is and the impact the property has on the environment. It also includes recommendations on ways to improve the property's energy efficiency. The EPC must be made available to all prospective buyers.
Please feel free to contact us to arrange for one of our Qualified EPC Inspectors to carry out an Energy Performance test on your property. The cost of an EPC is £90 (inc VAT)
